Reduce intimate partnership violence in LGBTIQ+ communities

This project provided the first ever ethnographic research into the experience of LGBTIQ+ communities in the context of intimate and domestic and family violence.

The problem

Domestic and family violence already carries a lot of stigma - but how can the government raise awareness in communities who are stigmatised already, and fearful of seeking help from institutions?

The project

  • Ethnographic research in LGBTIQ+ experiences of domestic and family and intimate partnership violence

My role

  • I led the project from A-Z, collaborating with two junior researchers

Deliverables

  • Insights report

  • Policy recommendations

  • Themes for a public information campaign
